Estates and gated communities
Residents invite guests with a one-time code or QR pass, guards verify it at the barrier, and deliveries and domestic staff are handled properly.
Agoo is in early access. This page describes the feature as it ships to early-access organisations; screens are illustrative.
The estate pack sets Agoo up for a barrier instead of a reception desk. Residents send their guests a code or QR pass from the Workspace app. Guards check it on a phone or tablet at the gate, capture the car's plate, and call the resident in one tap when someone turns up unexpected.
The examples use Korle Gardens Estate, a fictional estate.
What the estate pack includes
| Feature | How it works |
|---|---|
| Resident invites | Residents invite guests from the Workspace app. The guest gets a one-time code or a QR pass by SMS or WhatsApp. |
| Time-bound passes | Passes that work once, for a day, for a date range, or for a party of guests. |
| Guard verification | Guards scan the pass or type the code, capture the plate and a photo, and see which house the guest is visiting. |
| Unexpected visitors | The guard calls or messages the resident in one tap. The resident lets them in or turns them away. |
| Domestic staff passes | Nannies, drivers, cleaners and gardeners get standing passes that the resident can pause at any time. |
| Deliveries to the gate | The resident chooses "leave at the gate" or "let them in", and gets a photo when the parcel arrives. |
| Barrier integration | Approved passes can open a boom barrier: first through webhook and relay integrations, with ZKTeco and Hikvision barriers planned for P10. |
QR passes are signed, so guards can check them even when the gatehouse has no network.
Set up your estate
Choose the Estate template
During onboarding, or in Console → Settings → Forms, start from the Estate template. It adds the house number and resident approval fields.
Import residents
Add each household and its residents in Console → People, by hand or by CSV. Residents then install the Workspace app.
Set up the gates
Give each gate a phone or tablet in guard mode in Console → Devices. Multiple gates at one estate count as one site.
Agree the rules
Decide how long passes can last, whether residents can issue passes for large parties, and what guards do when a resident doesn't answer.
Pricing for estates
Estates are priced by unit: GH₵499 a month for up to 100 units, then GH₵3 a unit. See Plans and limits.
