Deliveries

Log parcels and food deliveries at the kiosk or front desk, notify the recipient, and record who collected what. Includes gate passes for items going in and out.

Early access· P8For receptionists, guards and admins

Agoo is in early access. This page describes the feature as it ships to early-access organisations; screens are illustrative.

Parcels, documents and lunch orders arrive all day. Agoo logs each one, tells the recipient straight away, and records who collected it, so nothing sits forgotten at reception and nobody argues later about whether a package arrived.

Deliveries ship in P8. Reading delivery labels with Agoo AI follows in P9.

How a delivery moves

StatusMeans
ReceivedLogged at the kiosk, desk or gate. The recipient has been told and given a pickup code.
CollectedHanded over. Agoo records who collected it, when, and how they proved it.

Deliveries waiting to be collected appear in Console → Deliveries and in the live on-site register.

A courier logs a delivery at the kiosk

Choose Delivery

On the kiosk's welcome screen, the courier taps Delivery.

Choose the recipient

They search for the recipient by name or department, the same way visitors find a host. If the parcel is for the organisation in general, they choose Front desk.

Photograph the parcel and add details

The kiosk photographs the parcel or its label. The courier adds their company, and their name and phone number if your delivery form asks for them.

Done

The courier is told where to leave the parcel (for example "Please hand it to reception"). The recipient is notified at once.

Reception logs a delivery

When a courier hands a parcel straight to the desk:

  1. Go to Console → Deliveries and select Log delivery.
  2. Take or upload a photo of the label.
  3. Choose the recipient. From P9, Agoo AI can read the label and suggest the recipient for you to confirm; each reading uses AI credits.
  4. Add the courier's company and where you've put the parcel ("Shelf B").
  5. Select Save and notify.

Guards in guard mode can log deliveries at the gate the same way.

What the recipient gets

The recipient gets a message on their usual channels (push, WhatsApp, SMS or email): who it's from, a photo, where to collect it, and a pickup code. If it's still waiting later, Agoo sends a reminder.

Hand it over

  1. In Console → Deliveries, find the parcel by recipient, courier or date.
  2. Ask the person collecting for the pickup code, or ask them to sign on screen.
  3. Select Mark as collected. If someone collects on the recipient's behalf, choose Collected by someone else and record their name.

The record keeps the photo, the code or signature, the time and the receptionist's name.

Food and dispatch riders

Riders bringing lunch usually can't come in, and food can't wait. For a food delivery, the guard or kiosk logs it with the recipient's name and the recipient is told "Your delivery is at the Main gate". They come to the gate, or send someone, and the guard marks it collected. No pickup code is needed unless you choose to use one.

Gate passes for items

A gate pass records equipment and materials going in and out of a site: a laptop taken home for the weekend, a projector lent to a branch, tools a contractor brings in and must take out again.

  1. In Console → Deliveries → Gate passes, select New gate pass.
  2. Add the items (with serial numbers where they have them), the person carrying them, and who approved it.
  3. Mark items as returnable and set the expected return date if they're coming back.
  4. The guard checks the items against the pass at the gate, in or out.

Returnable items that haven't come back by their date are flagged in Console → Deliveries → Gate passes.
