Hospitals and clinics
Enforce ward visiting hours and visitor limits, control restricted wards and keep medical reps on appointment, without touching clinical records.
Agoo is in early access. This page describes the feature as it ships to early-access organisations; screens are illustrative.
The hospital pack sets Agoo up for wards rather than offices. Each visitor is linked to a patient's ward and bed, visiting hours and limits apply at the kiosk and gate, and badges expire when visiting time ends.
The examples use Akwaaba Clinic, a fictional hospital.
What the hospital pack includes
| Feature | How it works |
|---|---|
| Patient-linked visits | Visitors are tied to a ward and bed. Clinical information never enters Agoo. |
| Visitor limits | Set the most visitors a patient can have at once. The kiosk checks the limit, and the ward's hours, before checking anyone in. |
| Ward visiting hours | Each ward's hours apply automatically at the kiosk and gate. Badges show the ward, bed and expiry time. |
| Restricted wards | ICU, maternity and isolation wards need staff approval before a visitor goes in, and every entry is logged. |
| Visiting-slot booking | Families book a visiting slot in advance from a booking page. |
| Reps by appointment | Pharmacy and procurement publish booking pages so medical reps arrive when they're expected. |
Set up your hospital
Choose the Hospital template
During onboarding, or in Console → Settings → Forms, start from the Hospital template. It adds the patient visitor form, with ward and bed.
Add your wards
Add each ward with its visiting hours and visitor limit, and mark restricted wards and who approves entry to them.
Publish booking pages
In Console → Bookings, publish a visiting-slot page for families and appointment pages for pharmacy and procurement.
Set up the entrances
Pair a kiosk at each entrance in Console → Devices. Security can use guard mode on a phone at the gate.
Health data
A record that someone visited a patient on a particular ward can suggest something about that patient's health, which is special personal data under the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843). Agoo keeps clinical data out by design, and we recommend that you:
- ask visitors only for the patient's name, ward and bed, never their condition;
- limit who can see patient-linked visits;
- keep visit records for no longer than you need, in Console → Settings → Data & privacy.
Pricing for hospitals
Public hospitals and CHAG facilities (members of the Christian Health Association of Ghana) get 15% off Growth and Pro. Only one discount applies at a time. See Plans and limits.
Schools
Control who collects each child, run SHS visiting days without the queue, record late and early slips, and clock staff in.
Estates and gated communities
Residents invite guests with a one-time code or QR pass, guards verify it at the barrier, and deliveries and domestic staff are handled properly.
