Booking pages
Give each host, team, department or site a booking page, so customers, parents, patients and partners pick a time without the back-and-forth.
Agoo is in early access. This page describes the feature as it ships to early-access organisations; screens are illustrative.
A booking page is a public web page where people book time with you. They choose how to meet (at your office, by video, by phone or at their own location), pick a free slot, and get a confirmation by SMS, WhatsApp or email. In-person bookings become expected visits, so reception knows who is coming at 10:30 am and the guest arrives with a QR pass.
Who can have a booking page
| Page for | Example address | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| A host | voltabank.agoo.ardent.africa/book/kwame-mensah | A relationship manager, a doctor, a head teacher |
| A team | voltabank.agoo.ardent.africa/book/treasury | Any available member of a team (round-robin, from P9) |
| A department | voltabank.agoo.ardent.africa/book/hr | Interviews, HR consultations |
| A site | voltabank.agoo.ardent.africa/book/tema-branch | Branch appointments, visiting slots |
Each page uses your branding and a short address (slug) you choose. On paid plans, visitor pages can live on your own domain instead, such as book.voltabank.example. See Branding.
What the person booking does
- Opens your link, from your website, an email signature, a WhatsApp status or a QR code on a poster.
- Chooses the meeting type: in person, video call, phone call or at their location.
- Picks a day and a time. Only genuinely free slots are shown, in their own time zone.
- Enters their name, phone and email, and answers any questions you ask.
- Chooses how to get reminders: SMS, WhatsApp or email.
- Gets a confirmation with a calendar file, and for in-person meetings, a QR pass and directions. If the host confirms each booking, they first get a message that their request was received, then the confirmation once the host accepts.
No account and no app are needed.
What happens next
- The booking appears in the host's calendar in the Workspace app and in Console → Bookings.
- The host is notified. If the booking type requires confirmation, the booking is a request that holds the slot until the host confirms or declines it, and only then is the guest told it's confirmed. See Bookings that need confirmation.
- Reminders go out before the meeting. The guest can reschedule or cancel with a secure link.
- For in-person meetings, Agoo creates an expected visit at the site. The guest scans their pass at the kiosk, and the host is told they've arrived.
Set up your first booking page
Set your availability
In the Workspace app, go to Me → Availability, or ask an admin to set it in Console → Bookings → Availability. See Availability and calendars.
Create a booking type
Go to Console → Bookings → Booking types and select New booking type. Give it a name ("30-minute account review"), a duration, and the ways to meet. See Meeting types.
Check your page
Select View booking page, and book a test meeting with your own phone number. Cancel it from the link in the confirmation.
Share the link
Select Copy link or Download QR code. Put the link in your email signature and on your website. A QR code on a poster at reception lets walk-ins book a later slot.
