Leave

Let staff request leave from the Workspace app, route it for approval, and keep balances and the attendance board accurate.

Early access· P8For HR, managers and employees

Agoo is in early access. This page describes the feature as it ships to early-access organisations; screens are illustrative.

Leave in Agoo connects to attendance, so someone on approved leave shows as On leave on the board, not absent, and their days off are counted correctly on the timesheet.

Set up leave types

Add leave types

In Console → Attendance → Leave, add the types your organisation uses, such as annual, sick, maternity, paternity, study and compassionate leave. For each, choose whether it's paid and whether it needs a document, such as a medical note.

Set allowances

Give each type a yearly allowance, by team or person, and choose whether unused days carry over. Agoo keeps a running balance for every employee.

Choose approvers

Requests go to the employee's manager by default. You can route them to HR as well, or to a deputy when the manager is away.

Ghana's public holidays are loaded for you and aren't deducted from leave balances.

Request and approve leave

  1. The employee requests leave in the Workspace app: type, dates and a note. The app shows their balance before they send it.
  2. The approver is notified by push, and can approve or decline in the app or the console.
  3. The employee hears back in the app, and the leave appears on the attendance board and the roster.

HR can also record leave on someone's behalf in Console → Attendance → Leave, for example sick leave reported by phone.

Absence

If someone doesn't clock in for a shift and has no approved leave, Agoo marks them absent. A manager can later record the reason, such as sick leave reported late, and the board and timesheet update.
