Roll call
Account for every visitor, contractor and clocked-in employee during an evacuation or drill, even in a blackout.
Agoo is in early access. This page describes the feature as it ships to early-access organisations; screens are illustrative.
When the alarm goes, roll call gives your marshals one live list of everyone on site: visitors, contractors and staff who are clocked in. People confirm they're safe with a link on their phone, marshals tick off the rest at the muster point, and you can see at a glance who is still missing.
Evacuation roll call is included on Starter, Growth, Pro and Enterprise.
Before you need it
Set muster points
In Console → Settings → Sites, add each site's muster points, such as "Car park A" or "Front lawn".
Choose your marshals
In Console → Security → Roll call, add marshals for each site. Marshals need the Workspace app on their phone, signed in, so the list is already cached when they need it.
Keep the on-site list accurate
Roll call is only as good as your check-outs. Make sure visitors check out when they leave, use automatic end-of-day check-out, and ask staff to clock out. See Check-out.
Run a drill
Start a roll call marked as a drill. It works exactly like a real one, and the report is labelled as a drill for your safety officer.
During an emergency
Start the roll call
Anyone with permission can start it, from Console → Security → Roll call or from the Workspace app. Choose the site, or every site, and whether it's a drill.
Everyone gets an "I'm safe" link
Agoo sends a message to everyone on the list. Staff get a push notification in the Workspace app. Visitors and contractors, and staff who don't open the push, get an SMS or WhatsApp message with a short link. Tapping I'm safe marks them accounted for.
Confirmations always use links, not SMS replies, so they work on every network and every phone that can open a link.
Marshals tick off the rest
At the muster point, marshals see the live list on their phone and tick people off as they see them. People without a smartphone, or whose phone is still inside, are marked by a marshal. Each person shows how they were accounted for: by link, in the app, or by which marshal.
Chase who's missing
Missing people rise to the top of the list, with their host or team, their last known check-in point and a button to call them. Marshals at different muster points all see the same list, so nobody is counted twice.
Close the roll call
When everyone is accounted for, or the emergency services take over, the person in charge closes it. Agoo records the time and who closed it.
The report
Closing a roll call produces a report: when it started and closed, how long it took to account for everyone, who was missing and for how long, and how each person was marked safe. Find past roll calls in Console → Security → Roll call and download the report as a PDF for your safety officer or insurer.
When the network or power is down
The evacuation list is cached on every kiosk and every marshal's phone and kept up to date in the background. If the network fails, marshals can still open the list and tick people off. Their marks sync as soon as any connection returns. "I'm safe" links need the person's phone to have signal or data, so marshals should always tick off anyone they can see.
Check your SMS balance before a drill
Roll-call messages to visitors and contractors use SMS or WhatsApp. Make sure your allowance or wallet has room, especially before a site-wide drill. See Wallet and credits.
